Lemonade Stand

What: Taking the childhood concept of a lemonade stand to a new level, the simply named “Lemonade Stand” by Dreambox Boutique and Oriana Rae Albrecht will feature much more than sweet, refreshing drinks. All based on ideas from participating kids, Sleepyhead Mattresses & More in Westland will be lined with booths run by young entrepreneurs selling baked goods, jewelry, handmade bird feeders, bath bombs, tie dye shirts, lanyards, personalized cups, and yes, lemonade. River Fleet

Where: Coyote Joes in Shelby Township
What: “Michigan’s #1 premier country venue” Coyote Joes in Shelby Township has been hosting an outdoor patio weekend event all summer long called River Fleet and it continues through the month of September. River Fleet features food trucks, dancing, live music, outdoor seating, craft beer and more amidst a riverside setting on a 12,000 sq. ft. patio. Sip & Taste Garden Stroll
When: Thursday, September 10 at 6 p.m.
Where: Lafayette Greens
What: The Greening of Detroit, a local nonprofit organization working to make Detroit a greener, healthier place to live and work, is hosting a fundraiser at Lafayette Greens, a lush, green space they maintain year round. Guests will be treated to food from Soil 2 Service, wine and cocktails from Sandhill Cranes Vineyard and cooking demonstrations from local chefs. Up to 100 guests may attend and ticket prices start at $100. More info.

Wicked Bizarre
When: Saturday, August 29 at 10 a.m.
Where: Newburg United Methodist Church in Livonia
What: It’s never too early to get into the mood for Halloween. That’s why Wicked Bizarre MI will help you get ahead of the game with a Halloween and horror-inspired craft and garage sale. Masks, costumes, collectibles, props, decorations, art and more will be on sale from different vendors. There will also be hourly raffles with proceeds going to the Humane Society of Monroe County and Feeding Detroit and Downriver. More info.
Canterbury Open Air Markets
When: Saturday-Sunday through September
Where: Canterbury Village in Lake Orion
What: Music, vendors, artists and more will take over Canterbury Village every weekend this summer. Each weekend will incorporate a different theme to the vendors you will see in attendance. Past themes include vendors selling Michigan-made products and vendors selling pet products. Admission is free, but parking is $5. More info.
